We are seeking a Assistant Plant Manager to join our thriving manufacturing company. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment, and who is eager to apply their knowledge and experience in production planning, budgeting, team building, and industrial manufacturing to drive our business forward.
Responsibilities
As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our operations. You will work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations.
2. Overseeing production planning, ensuring that manufacturing processes align with organizational goals and targets.
3. Managing and optimizing the plant budget, implementing cost-saving strategies, and driving financial performance.
4. Building, leading, and motivating high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and respect.
5. Ensuring adherence to all safety and quality standards, policies, and regulations.
6. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to drive operational excellence.
8. Providing regular reports on plant performance, and implementing action plans in areas that require improvement.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in production planning, budgeting, team building, and industrial manufacturing.
3. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams.
5. Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and driving financial performance.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and implementing process improvements.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
8. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
