Job Summary:
Supervises employees in a production environment: Executes the Production Plan, assigns work, enforces policies, recommends and implements improvements in production methods, equipment, and operating procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Fosters an environment that enables customer satisfaction, both internally and externally.
- Suggests, participates and supports continuous improvement activities.
- Supervises department activities to ensure production objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Monitors and improves the efficiency, output, quality and safety of production processes through observations and measurements. Collects and interprets data from engineering and operations.
- Demonstrates leadership and provides training to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.
- Fosters positive employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development.
- Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Communicates with other departments concerning production status.
- Ensures that employees have appropriate resources to perform their jobs.
- Facilitates the implementation and maintenance of the JBPCO 6S program.
- Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.
- Some travel may be required.

Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate's degree or at least two years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing, Production, Assembly processes.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include overtime.
