POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising production employees by implementing policies and recommending improvements for production needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Improve safety processes and behaviors to prevent accidents and injuries.
Plan, schedule and execute production operations and establish priorities.
Ensure process controls are established and adhered to for operational consistency.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of HACCP concepts and plant sanitation.
Review reports and resolve production and maintenance problems to prevent operational delays.
Achieve stated goals for efficiency, waste, and direct costs.
Inspect equipment to ensure operational performance and optimal utilization.
Develop and implement standard operational and working practices.
Manage employee performance, discipline, development and compliance with policies and procedures.
Partner with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues and strengthen employee morale.
Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
Work closely with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment and systems to assure objectives of production are met.
Establish line performance standards; measure, take corrective action and report results.
Identify opportunities for moving the line/area forward in technological change and implement improvement strategies that will help the line/area perform more effectively.
This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.
Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree preferred but not required. Desired experience in a production environment with food or beverage industry.
Applicants must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups and perform basic mathematical calculations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office Suite to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and use of plant specific software systems.
Responsible for leading production employees by implementing policies and recommending improvements for operation needs.
