SUMMARY:
The purpose of this job is to provide leadership and support to the Dorssers USA - Aftermarket services manufacturing team located in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma.
Job duties include, but are not limited to; managing the manufacturing team, managing and sequencing the release of work to promote On Time Delivery, and facilitating a smooth flow of work through manufacturing and back to the customer.
This is a small team working in a dynamic, fast paced work environment. This is a hands on role that will require a strong bias for action and a willingness to spend most of your time on the shop floor performing work daily. In addition to the hands on nature of this role, it will also involve updating and maintaining metrics, providing shipments updates to customer facing team members, and ensuring manpower is used effectively. We will develop and you will report on the following metrics: scrap, production output, on time delivery, past due orders, and shipments.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Plan and release workflow according to customer need, on hand materials, and resource capacity.
- Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing processes and comply with quality requirements.
- Help lead the site on the Continuous Improvement journey, including 6S.
- Monitor and maintain safe work practices.
- Document machinery and equipment failures and agree to the necessary actions to restore production quickly.
- Ensure the smooth introduction of new products and processes.
- Understand Bills of Material for this specific product line, and how they relate to the production orders. This will help to ensure the items are routed appropriately.
- Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Provide product expertise within the team and respond to operator queries.
- Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities. Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team.
- Ensure operation/production goals are met and proper staff and work allocation levels are maintained
- Monitor that operation teams meet customer requirements and take corrective actions in case of deviations from requirements
- Working knowledge of blueprint design, materials management, customer order and procurement procedures.
- Ability to develop and lead others to follow company policies and procedures
- Analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing process and documentation
- Ability to communicate, work independently, be innovative, work under stress and to work with critical deadlines and pressures
- Exercise considerable initiative/judgement in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements/goals
- Work independently, reviewed infrequently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead by example, gain respect from the team and communicate with clarity while demonstrating excellence in approach to work and people activities
- Ability to use MS Office products and basic functions in an MRP/ERP system is a must
