Position-Production Support Analyst
Location: Baltimore MD
Initial Duration: 6 months
Rate: $40/hr c2c
Remote start initially
Interviews: There will be 3 phone interviews of 30 mins each with the final screening will be conducted with the hiring manager.
Important Note:
Flex Scheduling.
This person will initially work from 8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, but will move to a Sunday-Thursday schedule.
Once this contingent worker moves to a Sunday-Thursday schedule, the hiring manager will determine the schedule that is needed to account for coverage. Please make sure the candidates submitted are available to work the Sunday through Thursday schedule.*
Role:
Mix of 1st2ndlevel triage role for incidents for investment applications
Heavy usage of Service Now to manage incidents problem changes, workflow task etc.
Working to resolve tickets, reviewing logs determine if this is data related etc, resolve this or send it to appropriate team.
The support will be for around 30 applications (investment related) and to grow further
Environment : SQL, Linux, Service Now, Splunk
3 5 years of prod support experience
Team of 4 to grow to 10 by end of year
The top 3 skillsets that are necessary for this role are:
-ServiceNow/experience in a tech environment,
-Analytical thinking skills (must be self-sufficient and resolve issues on their own),
-Some scripting experience such as Perl is a PLUS (this is not a developer position, but they are the people scripting experience will be beneficial for this role).
Responsible for swiftly resolving disruptions to technology services to minimize user impacts and maintain service levels.
Able to perform investigation and resolve issues leveraging available tools and documentation.
Partners with global team members and escalate issues within the team, regionally and to other parties as needed.
Communicate with vendors as part of troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Leverages ServiceNow, including team dashboards, to resolve incidents within policy standards.
Performs root cause analysis of issues and partners with our vertical support teams as needed.
Analyze performance trends and crafts action plans to address potential impacts.
Actively helps team members and makes suggestions to improve practices.
Performs a range of assignments related across applications.
Accountable for your own work and effective coordination of process and information with others.
Works independently within guidelines and policies for ongoing work; may receive general mentoring on new assignments but minimal mentoring thereafter.
