Lamar's Graphics division is now hiring a new Production Support Technician to support the silk screen printing process by producing films, mixing colors, and registering screens.

What we are looking for in YOU:
- Read and follow directions.
- Safely handle various chemicals.
- Ability to follow best work practices to ensure compliance to all safety and environmental regulations.
- Good vision (able to design visually with the proficiency to distinguish color patterns and identify good use of color).
- Communicate effectively both written and orally with excellent organizational and detail oriented skills.
- PC and systems proficiency.
- Use hand and power tools including gas or diesel operated equipment.
- Familiarity with MSDS and personal protection and working knowledge of IWS and FA equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Forklift and Manlift Certification preferred

.A day in the life:
- Pulling print schedules, printing or pulling films, sheeting blanks, washing and coating screens, burning films, and stretching screens.
- Conduct quality checks, touch up and repairs, labeling, boxing and shipping.
- Ensuring all safety and housekeeping rules are adhered to.
- Assist in maintaining shop machinery and equipment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The primary work environment is a shop. Shop is climate controlled but may be required to work outside and in other areas during periods of extreme temperatures.
- The physical demands include moderate lifting (up to 75 pounds), pushing, reaching, seeing (with a focus in reading, color distinction, acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision), sitting less than 50% of the time, standing, stooping, talking, turning, walking, and climbing.
- Nights spent traveling for this position are less than 10%.
