About the Job
We are hiring for a Day Shift Production Team Lead in Reno for a well-known manufacturing client of ours! $25 to $30/HR DOE.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet quality and quantity quotas
- Experience using diagrams or blueprints, and follow other written or verbal instructions
- Mechanically inclined with good dexterity - able to use both hands and power tools
- Able to quality check finished product and send unsatisfactory items to rework
- Proven experience with safe production practices
- Stable work history
- Basic math required for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts
- Requires excellent manual dexterity, ability to work with small components and hand tools, and a keen eye for detail and quality
- Must be able to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required (provided by employer)
- Drug and background screenings required
Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee the manufacture and assembly of precision medical devices and consumables
- This role is a combination of direct contribution (running equipment and assembly of devices) and indirect contribution (leadership of the crew to attain daily operational targets)
- This role ensures the key tasks, duties, and procedures are carried out efficiently and with strict adherence to safety and quality standards
- The Team Lead also evaluates their team members’ skill and growth opportunities and facilitates training of staff to ensure that an adequate knowledge and skill base is maintained
- This role has other support responsibilities, including: review and disposition of non-conforming product, reduction of production yield losses, creation of standard work documentation and procedures, and daily reporting of build plan attainment and strategizing resource allocation and workflow to ensure daily and weekly plans are met
- To be successful in this role, the Team Lead is expected to have strong leadership ability and excellent communication skills
- They do well at directing, coaching, and motivating members of the team to be their best and achieve success
- They also support and drive a culture of positivity, respect, and transparency
- Over time, demonstrates mastery of manufacturing and assembly of our products according to our standards
- Able to personally train operators on any process within the operation
- Regular communication with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other branches of the company to ensure both short and long-term goals are met
- Perform routine production duties and preventative maintenance
- Serves as a role model for adherence to site Safety standards and product Quality standards
- Drives adherence with staff and communicates with production manager as needed to resolve conflicts
- Requires excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, high efficiency, and ability to follow process instructions
- Use of hand tools, tweezers, and other light machinery
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
