Company Overview:
The Production Test Technician II is an intermediate-level position within the quality group of By Light. This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and functionality of products by performing advanced tests, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in process improvements. The Production Test Technician II works under limited supervision and is expected to apply a deeper level of technical expertise.
Responsibilities:Typical Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform inspection and test at the component, subassembly and system level utilizing work instructions, drawings, test procedures and wiring diagrams
- Assisting with development and integration on training systems
- Loading software and firmware and performing configuration on computers and devices
- Performing, trouble shooting and repairs at the component level on electro/mechanical assemblies and computers
- Create test procedures and work instructions to verify assemblies are in compliance with the drawing and meet all the requirements
- Create test fixtures to assist in running test procedures
- Fill out and maintain all test documentation, manufacturing orders and defect reports
- Train and assist junior technicians
- A.S. Degree in Electronic Technology, Simulation Technology or equivalent and two years of job experience in electronic component repair is required for this position. Training and experience in an equivalent MOS are acceptable.
- Experience building, testing, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing computer systems and computer-based training systems.
- Experience with computer hardware and network equipment, as well as the installation and execution of application software and operating system packages.
- Ability to read and work to schematic diagrams, wire lists, engineering drawings and sketches.
- Proven communication skills
- Substantial experience in product testing and quality control, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.
- CompTia A+ certification
- CompTia Security + certification
- IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification
- IPC-JSD-001 certification
- Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined in the ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).
- Ability to lift and move moderately heavy objects.
- Standing or sitting for extended periods during testing procedures.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or production environment
