Job Summary
As a Production Welder, you will play a key role in the fabrication of metal components, contributing to the production of high-quality products through proficient welding techniques.
Duties
- Inspect welding joints and conduct tests to ensure welds meet company standards, national code requirements, and customer job specifications.
- Interpret verbal and written instructions on drawings and/or procedures and apply as they relate to the part.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of metal structures
- Record inspection and test results and prepare and submit reports to welding engineering personnel.
- Measure dimensions or work pieces to ensure conformance using calipers. Micrometers, height gages and templates.
- Must be capable of setting up and or running, if necessary, all types of welding, laser, seam welder and induction equipment.
- Responsible for set-up of production and the quality of the parts being produced from the set up.
- Must be able to proficiently disassemble, set-up, adjust and changeover equipment for production necessary to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.
- Assist and /or perform minor tool maintenance and repair, to include proper storage and handling.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication
- Pass welding test as necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a welding enviornment.
- Must multi-task and give attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.61 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

8 hour shift
