Riviera Beac h Manufacturing company in business more than 50 years seeks experienced Welders with MIG and TIG experience.
Chosen candidate must possess the following skills and be able to work Monday through Thursday 6:00 am 4:30 pm.
Welds metal components together with a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as filter housings, piece parts, machine parts, and/or plant equipment.
Welds metal parts together using both MIG and TIG welding processes.
o Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
o Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
o Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
o Arranging components as based on blueprints and work order instructions. Welding components together in sequence following work order instructions using such tools as square, level, caliper or ruler for this task.
o Clamping, holding, argon purging, tack-welding, or grinding weld components as necessary to satisfy the quality requirements and create a welded final product.
o Control the processes of welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of stainless
o Maintain a clean work station and environment.
o Performs preventative maintenance on equipment
JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: All applicants to be considered will be subject to weld test.
1. All welds must pass inspection no failures.
2. All work meets blueprint specifications.
3. Does not exceed the allowed number of absences as define in the employee manual.
4. Zero complaints from employees or customers.
5. Daily reporting with zero errors.
6. Exhibits flexibility/willingness to learn new technologies/techniques and new processes.
7. Exhibits ability to apply new processes.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
o One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
o Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, spec sheets or other shop documentation. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
o Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, converting fractions into decimal form. Trigonometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
