Production Associate
CATEGORY Operations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for completion of quality product per specification and quality standards.
Hands on Assembly/Production work required.
Tasks are specific to Work Order but may include:
Hand folding printed material Counting and bundling printed material
Affixing Velcro strips to printed material Hand inserting or collating printed material
Occasionally work on various production machines including shrink wrapper, L-Bar, Colator.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent Reliable Transportation Consistently report to work on time.
Minimum one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong verbal, written and listening skills; ability to follow safety, security and quality procedures as well as read, understand and follow SOP's and supervisor's instructions.
Identifies problems and notifies manager in a timely manner regarding production, safety, or injury incidents.
Coordinates own work with others and works collaboratively to meet needs of department.
Use self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize work activities to use time efficiently.
Interpersonal skills to get along with employees, respond positively to instructions and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit through out their shift, walk, reach with hands and arms in front of body, lift, twist, crouch occasionally. Frequently talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle and feel printed materials, assemble, collate, count or bundle printed materials. Lift, carry, push pull boxes of printed material.
The employee works in an industrial manufacturing environment with noise exposure ranging between 55-75dcbls. Hearing protection is available
