The Program Administration Manager III shall be responsible for:
- Managing activities and daily operations of the cutting-edge Stem Cell Program. Collaborating with the Program Director, Research Administration Manager, program faculty members and administrative staff.
- Planning program workshops, meetings, and conferences; managing logistics, advertising, scheduling, and participant communications.
- Establishing strong working relationships with other Boston Children’s Hospital departments such as Human Resources, Office of Immigration Services, Office of General Counsel, Department of Pediatrics, and Research Administration to support program members.
- Ensuring all Boston Children’s Hospital’s policies and procedures are being followed. Providing policy guidance and interpretation as needed.
- Overseeing the processing of personnel and financial transactions, performance reviews, submission and maintenance of visa requirements, and recruitment efforts, and the maintenance of personnel records and reports.
- Marketing the program to internal and external constituents, which includes maintaining the website, promoting events, using social media, and distributing branded products. Drafting written communication and promotional literature.
- Interacting and maintaining liaison with outside agencies, such as Harvard University and other research organizations, in facilitating program objectives.
- Preparing periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status, or other special reports for senior management or outside agencies.
- Managing special projects, which may include periodically reviewing the program scientifically, promoting and recruiting faculty, and managing and reporting on space.
To qualify, you must have:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree and 8 years of program management experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Requires the ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
- Ability to provide empathy and professional guidance in difficult interpersonal situations.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Initiative in improving operations within area/department, and the ability to assists in implementing change.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and think critically.
