We are looking for a dynamic Program Analyst/Correspondence Analyst to join our team for a client support position within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Force Education and Training (OUSD FE&T).
This position will report to a CATHEXIS task lead who will assist them with their transition into their day-to-day responsibility of supporting our client; they will join a larger CATHEXIS team that supports other OUSD offices.
The Program Analyst/Correspondence Analyst will provide administrative, analytical, process management, and cross-functional support to senior-level decision-makers within OUSD. They will regularly collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders within the Department of Defense (DoD) and with other government agencies to manage cross-cutting tasks.
The work location of this position is at the Pentagon.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational services and knowledge management support including file consolidation and management on network-based applications
- Manage the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) tool:
- Coordinates assignments and requirements with responsible offices
- Tracks and oversees task timelines to ensure deadlines are met
- Reviews and quality-controls deliverables prior to submission to leadership
- Coordinates with stakeholders to ensure final products and subsequent tasks as necessary are disseminated to proper recipients
- Provide content analysis for classified and unclassified correspondence addressed to the White House, the Secretary of Defense, the Deputy Secretary of Defense, Members of Congress, and members of the public
- Facilitate visitors/office calls/inquiries
- Provide critical administrative support to senior leadership, including identifying and scheduling leadership priorities, supporting meetings, and communicating with external parties on behalf of the Front Office
- Complete high-visibility and short-turn assignments as needed with minimum oversight
- Work closely with the OUSD(P&R) Executive Secretariat to create, update, and/or provide feedback on DoD directive/instructional documents, to include synthesizing and/or deconflicting stakeholder inputs; processing final documents through interagency coordination
- Facilitate visitors/office calls/inquiries
- Responsible for coordinating facilities access, maintenance, and service for the Office of Assistant Secretary of Defense OASD to include the Decision Support Center conference Room and adjoining control room
Requirements:
- Must have an active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, English or Journalism
- Five (5) years of relevant experience
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity/experience with the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, writing, and editing skills Ability to multitask, track multiple deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and interact with senior leadership
Desired Skills:
- Previous military experience or experience supporting the Federal Government
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Experience with standard MS Office suite products and SharePoint
- Experience working in or supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense
- Experience providing customer service support
- Ability to maintain consistent performance in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Skill in communicating effectively and maintaining good working relations with diverse groups
- Self-motivated and does not require detailed management oversight - Organized with strong attention to detail
CATHEXIS offers competitive compensation packages to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide a compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team, is competitive with national average market rates, and promotes your financial security and personal well-being. The annual salary range for this role is $102,000 - $159,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline. CATHEXIS considers various factors in its final offer, including location, qualifications, experience, and skills.
