Associate degree, knowledgeable of youth development principles and practices and two years of experience working with Middle School youth.
Able to work in team settings and with diverse individuals.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Excellent organizational, verbal, written and communications skills.
Ability to work with culturally diversified individuals.
Computer literate.
Bilingual is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful completion of higher education coursework related to education, and child development.
Experience implementing educational programming and working with students as a teacher, educational aide, after school care aide, and/or daycare operator or assistant.
A high sense of professionalism.
Expected Work Schedule
This is a full-time position.
School Year: Availability between 8 am - 6 pm; Monday-Friday
Summer: Availability between 8 am - 6pm; Monday- Friday
Workdays/hours subject to change based on ESH’s needs.
Required Clearances
Clearance by the Department of Health (DOH)
Clearance by the Department of Education (DOE)
Clearance from the New York State Child Abuse Registry ($25.00 fee)
Staff Exclusion List (SEL) clearance
Physical with TB test

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional school environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is generally a sedentary role; however, some filing, and site visits are required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
