The Department of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering in the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Program Coordinator.
About the Opportunity
This position will support the NASA CDS project. The incumbent will be the support coordinator of the upgraded robotics lab spaces and integration. They will also organize and support efforts in robotics K-12 outreach, employer relations and recruitment.

What You'll Do
Support coordinator of the upgraded robotics lab spaces and integration.
Coordinate efforts across robotics faculty in set-up of robotics equipment and supplies.
Document lab materials and organize location, storage and use procedures across robotics faculty.
Participate in dept lab committee.
Coordinate with department chair on ant room/facilities needs for robotics spaces.
Organize and support efforts in robotics K-12 outreach, employer relations, and recruitment.
Develop regional contacts for robotics K-12 outreach with VEX teams, FIRST teams, and schools.
Schedule outreach opportunities and schedule these events with robotics faculty and graduate students.
Organize and participate in robotics related recruitment events.
Use procured robotics outreach materials to develop outreach projects.
Develop regional industrial contacts for robotics capstones, internships, and collaboration opportunities.
Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in a STEM related discipline.
A minimum of six (6) months of experience involving:
Working on a team.
Showing ability to work well with external stakeholders.
Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work independently.
Proficiency in MS Office Tools.
