Role
The Program Coordinator II will be responsible for monitoring specific subrecipient contracts and program activities that are funded under Part A of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. This role performs the following duties:
* Provides technical assistance to ensure funded programs attain contracted goals, objectives, and adhere to HRSA guidelines.
* Conducts regular monitoring of assigned subrecipients and respond to requests in timely manner.
* Keeps detailed records of monitoring activities and outcomes.
* Analyzes utilization and spending data of subrecipients.
* Assists in writing quarterly & annual reporting of program activities and other written assignments as necessary.
* Maintains consistent contact with subrecipients, other stakeholders and community partners.
* Works with Clinical Quality Management team to help subrecipients improve quality of services and data.
* Assists with the grant application process.
* Works collaboratively with fiscal staff to ensure system accountability.
* Attends and participates in community meetings.
* Develops and conduct presentations to stakeholders including the Boston EMA Planning Council.
* Participates in preparations for site visits.
* Regularly attends both fiscal and programmatic meetings.
* May prepare and facilitate information needed for RFP processes well as coordinate the contracting process with sub-recipients.
* Performs other duties as required
This job description is based on the Program Coordinator Series. May be required to perform any and all duties and responsibilities of a Coordinator I, as set forth in the BPHC Coordinator Series.
* Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy Administration, or a related discipline, such as sociology, organizational psychology, public health nursing, or health communications required; OR BA/BS and 2 years of equivalent experience in public health program coordination, management and/or community organizing; OR 5 years of equivalent experience in public health program coordination, management and/or community organizing may be substituted for undergraduate degree. Licenses, certifications or program specific experience may be required by grant or program needs.
* Advanced experience with and knowledge of local community agencies.
* Experience designing and implementing public health or health related programs and initiatives.
* Knowledge of public health, and epidemiological, outreach and educational models related to HIV and AIDS.
* Demonstrated ability to establish effective communications and working relationships with community providers.
* Ability to write clear, concise reports, & to follow & give written and oral instructions in a precise, understandable manner.
* Experience planning community meetings and events.
* Excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills.
* Ability and experience working with diverse populations.
* Advanced knowledge & experience with MSOffice and knowledge of data analysis and epidemiology.
* Bilingual, bicultural a plus
