About the Job
We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Program Coordinator for our Behavioral Health programs in Kissimmee, Florida. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in assisting with the day-to-day operations of our community mental health clinic.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Assist the Program Manager in all administrative functions related to patient care• Assist with planning and coordinating programs and their activities• Schedule appointments and confirmations as necessary• Maintain office files, including purging/closing when needed• Verify client insurance and payment eligibility to ensure service payment• Input and track all payer authorizations• Assist in monitoring administrative and clinical report timelines• Attend meetings, coaching sessions, and trainings as required• Train and orient new staff members and volunteers• Manage provider work assignments and schedules• Coordinate interactions among staff, clients, administrators, and other stakeholders• Schedule and organize program-related meetings and events• Oversee technology usage for program operations• Ensure follow-up care for concerned clients and track clinical outcomes for those receiving mental health services• Generate accurate and timely reports• Coordinate intake, admission, and discharge procedures for clients• Assist the Program Manager with strategic planning and annual program evaluation• Ensure the implementation of policies and practices• Schedule meetings/events and maintain agendas• Prepare paperwork and order office materials as needed• Work in the database to schedule initial appointments for assessments and psychiatric services• Fill in for the other coordinator when one is absent from the office• Prepare monthly authorization reports, including initial and ongoing authorizations• Handle ongoing requests and authorizations for services• Schedule appointments with clients after the plan of care is established• All other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills, And Experience• Proven experience as a program coordinator or in a relevant position.• A minimum of 1 year of experience providing office support and coordination within an organization that offers services to people.• Ability to work effectively with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.• Ability to relate well to the mentally ill population, uphold program principles, and implement techniques in line with program philosophies.• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.• Detail-oriented and efficient, with initiative and common sense; a self-starter with a "let's get things done" attitude.• Must demonstrate professionalism and courtesy, with an ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals; exhibits a high level of judgment and discretion.• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and organize workload to meet deadlines.• Strong ability to multitask and thrive in an environment with changing priorities and demands. Additional Information• Applicant must successfully pass all Pre-Employment Screenings including but not limited to a Federal II Background check, a Local Background check, a Pre-Employment Drug Screening, and applicable licenses and insurances;• Must have a valid Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Insurance and Registration;• Bilingual (English/Spanish) or French-Creole is a plus!
