Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator.
In this role, the successful candidate Under the direction of the Associate Dean for Student Affairs the Director of the Violet Society Program and the Director of Student Affairs the Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of academic coaching career advising and professional development for all students at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine which includes support of the VSP faculty advising program dual degree programs and residency applications This individual coordinates additional aspects of the Violet Society Program including the program design budget staffing and logistics They implement new assessment strategies facilitate the administration of departmental advising activities create and track an annual budget schedule meetings support the peer mentor program and organize workshops
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports the development of educational curriculum nbsp;maintains a database and assists in gathering feedback from end users through surveys and other tools nbsp;
- Helps coordinate faculty development sessions for VSP faculty advisors focusing on medical school policies and procedures
- Provides logistical support for bi weekly VSP faculty meetings and helps with related communications
- Works with the Office of the Registrar to assist in maintaining accurate student records
- Assists in the implementation and data collection of Violet Society Program evaluations ensuring data accuracy and compiling reports
- Assists in drafting letters memos agendas presentations and reports
- Supports the development and revision of training materials for Violet Society Program stakeholders
- Acts as a point of contact for students and faculty directing inquiries to the appropriate parties regarding the career advising program
- Assists in managing the Violet Society s budget providing support in monitoring and tracking expenses
- Supervises medical student programming within the Violet Society Program including the peer mentor program and student advisory board
- Coordinates with nbsp;the Director of the Medical Student Professionalism Development to deliver the Professional Identity Formation curriculum to medical students nbsp;
- Includes monthly faculty working group meetings administration of Professional Identity Essays and collaboration with Education Research team
- Assists in the preparation of the MSPE Medical Student Performance Evaluation Provides support in managing and maintaining the MSPE software in collaboration with IIME and serves as a point of contact for basic inquiries related to MSPE
- Assists in the development and maintenance of resources for medical students navigating the residency application process
- Helps plan and prepare materials for training sessions and educational presentations Assists in gathering feedback through evaluations and provides input for quality improvements
- Provides administrative support as the coordinator for Dual Degree Programs
- Acts as a liaison to the corresponding NYU Masters Programs offering Dual Degree options assisting with communication and coordination
- Supports the advising process for current and prospective medical students by providing information on program content schedules and application processes through organizing information sessions preparing marketing materials and maintaining website updates

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor s degree or equivalent in business administration health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel Access PowerPoint and Outlook Familiar with Internet applications Effective oral written communication interpersonal skills Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details
Preferred Qualifications:
Project/Program coordination experience preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $92,020.36 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
