JOB SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator for Oncology is accountable for coordinating oncology accreditation and special projects and/or coordinating cancer conferences and research and treatment center activities. The Program Coordinator for Oncology will also ensure that the Cancer Program meets the accreditation guidelines established by the American College of Surgeons, works very closely with the inpatient oncology units and the medical staff as it relates to Cancer Program activities and is accountable for the successful facilitation of oncology-related multidisciplinary case conferences as well as oncology Research & Treatment Center meetings and coordination of related follow-up activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
+ Organizes accreditation meetings ensure that necessary topics are addressed to ensure ongoing cancer program accreditations.
+ Maintains an in-depth knowledge of oncology accreditation standards and coordinates oncology program activities to ensure ongoing compliance.
+ Conducts data analyses as needed to evaluate oncology program and accreditation-related performance as well as summarizes and presents testing findings/recommendations.
+ Schedules and facilitates multidisciplinary cancer conferences in coordination with conference chairpersons and participants.
+ Coordinates oncology Research & Treatment Center meetings, in partnership with committee chairpersons, to provide for productive discussions that advance oncology service line volume growth and performance improvement.
+ Coordinates oncology projects that are directly and indirectly related to oncology program performance.
+ Coordinates with members of the oncology program, including staff and physicians, to evaluate process improvement opportunities and coordinates the
+ Conducts follow-up as needed to ensure that action items identified in meetings are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
+ Coordinates with areas that provide help to the oncology program to ensure that program processes are efficient and effective.
+ Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

+ EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
