QUALIFICATIONS:Degree or licensure in related field, and familiarity with evidence-based and best practice behavioral health curricula preferred. Ability to analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Must have current driver’s license. While not required, an LSW or similar license would be helpful.
DUTIES: Will assume the roles of the Miami County Family and Children First Coordinator (MCFCFC) (20 hours more or less per week) and other projects including but not limited to the National Alliance on Mental Illness Coordinator (NAMI), assisting with Board training and events.
MCFCFC Coordinator is the liaison with Ohio Family & Children First Council and related affiliate programs. Prepares and submits RFP and grant documents as prescribed for the operation of the MCFCFC. Prepares and submits necessary reports for each grant and RFP. Provides periodic reports to the MCFCFC.Prepares agendas, notices to members, budgets, financial reports and council minutes for MCFCFC meetings; facilitate MCFCFC meetings; maintains appropriate documents and records on behalf of the MCFCFC.Seeks approval from Prosecutor’s office for identified documents and contracts and submits them to the County Commissioners’ office for resolution. Reviews and approves FCSS expenditures in accordance with state guidance. Reviews MCFCFC bills for appropriateness and fund classification; approves and submits to the fiscal department for payment; provides the periodic income/expense report to the MCFCFC; assist with any audit or reviews by providing information as requested.Becomes familiar with and builds relationships with MCFCFC members as well as other local community partners to increase awareness of MCFCFC services.
Duties for the NAMI Coordinator role includes assisting the local NAMI affiliate in scheduling, planning and implementing workshops, conferences and education programs. Serves as the liaison between the local affiliate and NAMI Ohio. Provides information and guidance to the general public. Works with Board and Agency staff to promote and market information on upcoming events, and other related subjects. Coordinates instructors for classes. Facilitates member enrollment. Tracks NAMI receipts and expenditures and works with the fiscal department for financial records and reporting. Works with the Director of Clinical Services on tasks and projects as needed and may periodically serve as the backup staff for hospital-related communications and other related activities. Works with TCB staff on training and other events and projects.
