Located on the campus of United Hospital in St. Paul, MN, the United Family Medicine Residency Program is an ACGME accredited, three-year, 21 resident approved program (7-7-7) that offers a fourth year of mastery option. Our history of providing health care to the citys neediest citizens extends back almost 70 years. While health care resources and delivery have evolved in our community, our mission of providing comprehensive, community-oriented care remains firmly in place.The program utilizes the extensive resources of Allina Health, including United Hospital, Children's Minnesota Hospital, and a wide variety of metro and rural specialty clinics. The United Family Physicians (UFP) Clinic is the setting for the resident continuity ambulatory experience, which provides high quality, full-spectrum primary care for patients of all ages, with a focus on meeting the needs of the medically underserved while caring for members of the community who span the economic spectrum.

Positions Purpose
The Program Director will provide leadership and direction to the Family Medicine program with the goal to:
- Foster an environment in which residents develop the capacity to thrive in their professional and personal lives
- Educate residents to assess, respond to and to meet the needs of the community they serve
- Guide, support and mentor residents to partner with diverse, underserved persons and populations
- Prepare, train and guide residents to deliver the full-spectrum of Family Medicine in a changing environment, in which they are leaders
Principle Responsibilities
- Position is approximately 70% administrative and 30% clinical
- Lead operations for the Family Medicine Residency Program, including, but not limited to: patient care, education and supervision of residents, curriculum design and implementation, program accreditation, staff and faculty oversight, quality and safety initiatives, and budget responsibility
Job Requirements
- MD, DO, or MBBS
- 5+ years of clinical experience, with two years as a core faculty member in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine residency program
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Unrestricted MN Board of Medical Practice license
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine
