Direct an outpatient forensic clinic, working with adult health patients. Responsible for fiscal administration and clinical aspects of program.
Essential Duties
- Supervises all staff.
- Administrates overall program goals and responsibilities.
- Monitors and creates department budgets.
- Plans and implements training for staff.
- Assists in clinical training and supervising new therapists.
- Maintains detailed knowledge or program paperwork and billing procedures.
- Participates in educational seminars for the department.
- Develops maintains and evaluates policies and procedures.
- Writes reports and presentations as required.
- Attends inter-agency meetings for networking and information sharing.
- Keeps program personnel informed of professional & community trends, issues, concerns, and requests.
- Addresses conflict by privately acknowledging it appropriately listening to others' views and speaking an opinion without blaming.
- Participates in staff and treatment team meetings and contributes pertinent information.
- Assists other programs as necessary.
- Arrives at sound conclusion after gathering and analyzing all pertinent facts.
- Works independently.
- Provides on call coverage for emergency consultation and intervention outside of regular work hours.
- Responds appropriately to difficult or emergency situations.
- Markets to outside facilities to obtain clients.
- Coordinates a discussion with the Department of Mental Health.
- Maintain technical skills.
Experience/Qualifications
- Experience providing individual & group therapy in mental health field.
- Treatment and diagnostic skills utilizing the DSM V.
- Experience with severe & persistent mental illness substance abuse and evaluating behaviors.
Education & Certificates
- Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work or psychology or related field.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist or Psychologist (minimum 2-years post-licensure)
- Eligible to complete appropriate clinical supervision training to supervise registered MFT or MSW interns or other disciplines as designated.
Requirements
- Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Community Care Licensing (CCL) background clearance.
- Valid California Driver's license.
- TB clearance.
- Driving record acceptable for coverage by company insurance carrier.
- Fire and Safety Training*.
- First Aid Training Certification*.
- CPR Certification*.
- Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI)**
* Note: If indicated certifications/licenses are lacking, they must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
**Training needs to be completed within 30 days from the date of hire on a designated date provided by on-boarding. Staff need to be certified at the commensurate level for their role to perform their job duties (staff will be taken off the schedule if certification is not achieved).
