Program Intern, Supply and Distribution - Pilot Company (SSC)

Pilot Company’s professional internship designed to provide on-the-job training and experience to recent college graduates. Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at a professional level, typically identified with a targeted exempt position. Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments. This is a 10-week paid internship program.

The Supply & Distribution and Logistics Intern will gain valuable experience in the operations of Pilot Company's supply chain. This role will provide exposure to various aspects of supply chain management, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution. The intern will work closely with supply chain professionals to contribute to the department's goals.

Responsibilities:

· Procurement: Assist with procurement activities, such as vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order processing.

· Transportation: Support transportation planning and execution, including route optimization, carrier selection, and freight management.

· Warehousing: Contribute to warehouse operations, including inventory management, receiving, and shipping.

· Distribution: Assist with distribution activities, such as order fulfillment and delivery scheduling.

· Supply Chain Analysis: Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes.

· Logistics Projects: Participate in logistics projects, such as supply chain optimization or risk management initiatives.

· Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail and organizational abilities.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and supply chain management software.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· A strong interest in supply chain management and logistics.

· Gain practical experience in supply chain management and logistics.
