Program Manager 2-(STA015381)Program Manager 2 Organization:H0058 Dean, EducationDescription***INTERNAL POSTING ONLY*** Manages the day-to-day operations of large university program or department, which may include the supervision of staff employees, studentworkers,programsorprocesses, including management of budgetary, financial, and administrative functions for a department or program. JobDuties·Plans and develops procedures for administering a large or complex department or program. ·Managesfiscalactivities,includingprocurementandbudgetanalysis. ·Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance. ·Prepares abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, or operations and procedure manuals, and other written material anddocumentation. ·Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities. ·May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations. ·Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures. Additional JobDuties may include:·Directs the monthly reconciliation of accounts and generates monthly financial and budget reports for departments and centers. ·Processes travel request and reimbursement vouchers ·Will be pcard holder and assist with purchasing for CUIN and PHLS ·Oversees personnel and payroll activities to include reconciliation of payroll records and salary reallocation process. ·Manages monthly checklist to ensure all units are in compliance. ·Trains and provides guidance to departmental staff regarding university and college policies and procedures. ·Leads the finance team in developing operational SOPs to ensure all finance processes are followed with compliance goals ·Performs other job-related duties as assigned. The candidate hired for this position will have primary responsibility managing the department of curriculum & instruction (CUIN) and psychological, health & learning sciences (PHLS) – the two largest FTE departments within the college of education. EEO/AA QualificationsEducation: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
