Position: Program Manager- Agile Coach
Location: Reston, VA
Type: Contract
Description:
Need for a very experienced program manager to run a complex, multi-workstream strategic initiative supporting InfoSec/Customer Access Management Program. Work with cross functional/cross organizational teams including application owners, application developers and analysts to understand scope of work and lay out a roadmap for delivery based on business needs and functionalities desired for new capabilities/applications. Manage relatively large or complex: program milestones, schedule, scope management, cost control, stakeholder management, quality and performance reporting. Provide Agile coaching expertise to help structure the program, program reporting, deliverables and provide hands on guidance to the multiple Product Owners, Scrum masters and teams.
The candidate works directly with internal customers to understand the business environment and needs. Works with leadership to identify any risks/issues that may impact the delivery for the program. Manage the program/project backlog in JIRA, MS Teams and facilitate program ceremonies to track progress through completion. Work with program leads/RTE's to prep for periodic Big Room Planning sessions to ensure we have the right level of information to present on the roadmap to delivery for the upcoming quarter.
Proven ability to manage large agile programs with multiple teams, stakeholders and workstreams.
Proficient in analyzing data from a wide variety of data sources and succinctly summarizing such data to produce meaningful analytics to drive business decisions.
Must have intermediate to advance familiarity with MS-Excel and SQL
Ability to create roadmap and program reporting leveraging agile data. May need to translate for different audiences.
Knowledge and understanding of mortgage industry, secondary mortgage activities and products preferred
Previous experience at Fannie or Freddie preferred.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. • PMP or PMI certification
• 10-15 years complex project/program management experience; hands on software development life-cycle experience.
• Minimum 5 years Agile coaching/transformation experience; hands on scrum master experience
• Coordinating with agile teams, programs, and other workstream (expected to be central POC)
• Project estimating, project scheduling & tracking, customer interaction and management, implementation planning in large organizations
• Proven people management and team building skills
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
• Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
• Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
• Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
• Create and present professional decks with a business target audience
• Experience with finance and budgeting (resource allocation)
• Strong communication skills written and verbal
• Self-organized, self-starter
• Must be able to work with senior stakeholders, conflicting priorities and fast pace.
• Proactive, team player, no hand holding and ability to function independently… “hit the ground running”
