Position Summary
Within our Aspire crisis continuum, this position will be responsible for our 24/7/365 crisis call center. This position facilitates, coordinates, and evaluates the operation and efficiency of Crisis Coordination by providing regular scheduled supervision as well as in the moment staffing to assigned direct care staff. This position maintains good communication, monitors schedules and work assignments, and ensures quality of services and documentation while supporting Aspire’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities. This position works closely with other Aspire departments and community partners in ensuring we are meeting the needs of our community to the best of our ability. Must be flexible in working via video conference as well as telephonically and in-person.
- Coordinate staff assignments, referrals, and manage schedules
- Provide support to Peer Specialists and Crisis Coordinators
- Provide direct crisis coordination services and/or follow-up services, as needed up to 50% of the time
- Ensure documentation quality and accurate billing via audit, supervision and education of assigned staff
- Assist with the collection of data and reporting for the purpose of staffing and programmatic evaluationCoordinate the 24 hour on-call crisis team, participate as needed
- Interact with staff, those we serve, and others in the community in a positive, helpful and professional manner via phone, ViP or in person to effectively handle difficult situations with appropriate act, respect and resourcefulness
- Respond timely and positively to clients, staff, colleagues and all others in a respectful, courteous and confidential manner via telephone, ViP, email, chat or in person
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a directly-related human service field from an accredited university required
- Three (3) years related work experience required with at least one (1) year in a supervisor capacity preferred
- Must have excellent crisis intervention/de-escalation skills
- Community Mental Health experience highly preferred
- Experience with Crisis Intervention highly preferred
- Knowledge and application of utilizing social service and community systems highly preferred
