About the Job
SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a seeking an experienced Development Program Manager to help lead the US Air Force's endeavors enabling NATO's Alliance Future Surveillance and Control (AFSC) Program.
What You'll Do
- Lead the USAF's efforts to identify the NATO's critical mission needs, document operational requirements, identify relevant emerging technologies, and create advanced solutions to address mission challenges
- Lead the strategic direction, work shaping, program execution and provide leadership to project personnel in the day-to-day management of AFSC-related projects
- Work closely and collaboratively with:
- Stakeholders across the USAF, the Joint Staff, and NATO to include overall leadership and leaders within intelligence, operations, technology/data operations, modeling/analytics, and logistics organizations
- Subject matter experts across the organizations, including military, government civilian, contractor, NATO, and Partner Nation personnel
- An integrated, federated program team demonstrating strong teamwork and cooperation
- Team with leadership from SAF/AQI to establish project priorities that are aligned with both USAF and Joint Staff strategies, priorities, and outcomes
- As in individual contributor, lead and contribute to AFSC's work program via subject matter expertise in one or more of the following domains and/or technical disciplines:
- Domain Expertise:1) Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance Operations; 2) Command & Control; 3) Counter Integrated Air Defense Systems; and/or 4) Defense Security Cooperation & Capacity Building
- Technical Expertise:1) Airborne Early Warning and Battle Management; 2) Tactical Communications/Airborne Data Links; 3) Cloud (DoD mission integration focus); 4) Ops Analysis / Ops Research; and/or 5) Data Operations
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline such as Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Computer), Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields with a minimum of 10 years of demonstrable mission-focused experience in one or more of the named domain and technical expertise areas; or 8 years related experience and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience systems engineering, software engineering, computer science, physics, or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition reform initiatives. Should be familiar with DoD 5000 series acquisition regulation
- Experience:
- Experience supporting DOD ACAT programs
- Must be a US citizen capable of maintaining a US Department of Defense Secret clearance
- Demonstrated ability to strengthen international relationships through technology collaboration and common interest between NATO countries and NATO Commands
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required
- SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED TO START
- Strategic Leadership. Ability to guide daily execution of project support and ensure meaningful data-driven products are developed in a timely and relevant manner. Actively collaborate with other projects supporting related sponsors/tasks/objectives to ensure maximum value and impact
- Interpersonal Skills.Ability to support both senior military leaders and action officers to identify operational and engineering challenges, potential solutions, and communicate project goals and impacts clearly and effectively
- Collaboration. Ability to instill collaboration across teams of engineers and planners, subject matter experts, international program (foreign military sales) specialists, and defense acquisition professionals
- Senior Experience. Comfortably and respectfully engage with both US and foreign nations' military leaders and engineers, as well as commercial executives and managers
- Flexibility.Be able to modify and alter course as the environment and sponsor priorities shift. Understand the power of reach-back and be an effective conduit to bring the talent forward to execute at the right time
