Responsibilities:The Tailored Systems Business Area within Electronics Program Office directorate delivers first-of-a-kind field-ready technical solutions in support of National Security missions. The Draper team is chartered with supporting the Nation’s most challenging problems by 1) providing an iterative and agile approach to innovative and creative technical solutions within compressed timelines and 2) driving leading edge technology development efforts to support future mission needs. This role will support a large multi-functional team as part of a long-standing contract with history of immense success.
Draper is seeking a Senior Program Manager to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced, high priority technical portfolio. This Senior Program Manager will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team through research, design, development, integration, and production efforts, ensuring Customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery of work product and contractual deliverables. The individual will be responsible for technical excellence, driving innovation, as well as strengthening and growing business through capture activities within the Microelectronics organization.
Job Highlights
- Position will support two (2) microelectronics Business Areas
- Lead project execution to include driving requirements, on-time delivery and budget management for complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Oversee the management of proposals and cross-functional proposal teams for on-time, compliant proposal development and contract negotiations
- Evaluation of technical and business risks and identification/development of sound risk mitigation strategies
- Resource management, maintain staffing plan and coordinate with engineering to fulfill needs
- Collaborate with customers through business development and program execution activities
- Manage support from functional organizations such as finance, contracts, procurement, IT/IS, and engineering organizations
- Support strategic planning to expand and grow business area(s)
- Produce comprehensive and clear work products (spreadsheets, graphs and PowerPoint presentations) for meetings and management reports.
Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering, or similar field, with a minimum of 10 years of domain experience
- Experience in program/project management of R&D technology development activities and integrating new technology into existing, fielded systems
- Program/project management in complex technical activities
- Dynamic leadership skills; Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed in order to meet deadlines
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, structured thinking and execution
- High level of independent judgment and proactivity
- Successful candidates will be those able to drive on-time program delivery for product that must meet mission requirements.
- Experience in developing risk management plans, budgets, and schedules, and giving corresponding presentations at program reviews and technical interchange meetings
- Active US DoD TOP SECRET clearance
- PMP certification is preferred
