Position: Delivery Manager (Logistics)- Project Manager III
Location: Remote, Pacific Standard Time (PST), local to San Francisco Only
Pay: $83.26-$112.07 Per Hr
Duration: Approx. 4 Months
Position Overview:
The Delivery Manager in Logistics plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods from origin to destination. This position requires a strategic approach to overseeing delivery operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction, all while adhering to safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Operations Management:
Planning and Scheduling: Strategically organize delivery routes, schedules, and resources to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
Coordinating Deliveries: Oversee the entire delivery process, ensuring timely and safe arrivals.
Tracking and Monitoring: Utilize technology and logistics systems to track shipments in real time, proactively addressing any issues.
Team Leadership: Manage and motivate delivery personnel, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
Customer Satisfaction:
Clear Communication: Maintain transparent communication with customers, providing updates and resolving concerns.
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve delivery-related issues or customer complaints promptly.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and exceeded.
Operational Efficiency and Optimization:
Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving measures within delivery operations to increase profitability.
Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and enhance delivery processes to improve efficiency and performance.
Technology Integration: Adopt and implement new technologies to improve tracking, streamline operations, and boost productivity.
Compliance and Safety:
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant transportation, safety, and environmental regulations.
Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce safety procedures to protect employees and the public.
Additional Responsibilities (Depending on Company Needs):
Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels and order fulfillment.
Vendor Management: Oversee third-party logistics providers and carrier relationships.
Reporting and Analytics: Generate and analyze performance reports to identify areas for improvement and operational excellence.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
Mandatory:
Proven experience in managing logistics or delivery operations
Strong leadership skills, with a focus on team management and motivation
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with logistics systems and tracking technology
Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols
Desired:
Experience with process improvement initiatives
Strong understanding of customer service principles
Proficiency in leveraging technology for operational efficiency
Experience in cost management and optimization

Pay Details: $83.00 to $112.00 per hour
