About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager (PM) to oversee a support services contract in support of a federal law enforcement training facility. The PM will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of day-to-day operations, including training range logistics – Driver and Firearms, scheduling, equipment inventory, and vehicle maintenance, as well as adhering to all contractual obligations. This is an on-site role that requires prior experience managing federal contracts of similar size and scope.
Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract execution, liaising between the client, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the student support services program, ensuring that all activities align with contract specifications and timelines.
- Manage scheduling for program, ensuring that resources, staff, and trainees are coordinated efficiently.
- Oversee inventory control, ensuring the availability and maintenance of firearms, training equipment, and vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, safety standards, and contractual requirements.
- Track project progress, manage risks, and resolve any issues that arise in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, budget adherence, and performance metrics.
- Lead, mentor, and manage project staff, ensuring a high level of productivity and professional development.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain supply chains and manage assets.
- 7+ years overall Program Management experience, minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Project Manager on federal contracts of similar size and complexity.
- Demonstrated experience managing operations in areas such as firearms range support, vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Proven ability to meet contractual and regulatory requirements, with a strong attention to detail and compliance.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of making critical decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software is preferred.
- PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Work Environment:
This is an on-site position, requiring regular engagement with training facilities, stakeholders, and the program team to ensure the successful execution of the contract.
