The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsofts over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.
Our mission within Microsoft Cloud Planning (MCP) is to lead the world’s cloud experience through optimal, predictable, and connected planning. Network Hardware Planning is part of MCP and focused on all aspects of planning for Network Hardware that is deployed at Microsoft’s data centers. The team works with partners within MCP, CSCP, Finance and Azure Engineering to plan & execute the new technologies for scale and agility. The Program Manager, Life Cycle Planning works with partners within MCP, CSCP, Finance, and the Engineering Groups to deliver capacity and enable new technologies and hardware transitions for scale and agility. We are looking for an experienced individual with extraordinary leadership and demonstrated large-scale planning & project management success. You should have and effective technical acumen, experience in driving planning insights, and have the executive presence to lead complex and time sensitive initiatives.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience
OR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related equivalent field.
- Deep understanding of network infrastructure and planning.
- Direct experience with networking hardware: edge, optical and data center.
- Knowledge or demonstrated experience in supply chain planning processes and planning system architecture.
- Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams on complex projects with many variables; Proven track record in delivering change, process improvement.
- Personal Attributes: Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills; Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
- Generating clarity: This is one of the most important aspects of what we do. Our job is to align everyone on the same plan and keep them there. This requires constant communication and diligence to squash any ambiguity; Able to simplify and summarize complex concepts to engage with broader audience.
- Proficient at creating and analyzing business information and defining key business results/metrics with a proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL and PowerBI.
Demand Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities
- Hardware planning for network technology transitions, design changes including Edge, Optical and Data Center devices.
- Meeting regularly with cross functional teams to define strategic initiatives to ensure network hardware transitions are identified and communicated with in a 12-18 month process.
- Identify inventory gaps and risks while working with Engineering, Supply Chain and Capacity Planning teams on the timing and availability of product transitions to plan for platform end of life and ramp of new platforms.
- Continuous collaboration with v-teams to track progress of projects for on-time completion and drive process improvements.
- Build beneficial relationships with partners and engineering groups internal to Microsoft.
- Monthly reporting of key performance indicators for the product transitions.
