Job Summary and Qualifications
The Manager of Military Affairs will execute and support the on-going development, enhancements, and approval of the comprehensive, cross-functional, enterprise-wide military-connected strategy that is aligned to business priorities and processes. This position will report directly to the Director of Military Affairs and work with internal and external stakeholders on initiatives in support of DEI strategic priorities. Primary focus areas include: (1) drive talent lifecycle programming agenda, (2) support philanthropic and community engagement execution, (3) lead veteran and military healthcare system engagement, (4) develop military-connected public policy analysis and company advocacy efforts, and (5) support supplier diversity with military-connected owned businesses.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner closely with external partners, internal business leaders, and recruitment and sourcing leaders to identify appropriate military recruitment events.
Build an annual calendar of military recruitment events, updating monthly and as needed to align with hiring goals.
Coordinate all recruitment event details with the military talent sourcing team and military liaisons including, branding assets, schedules, pre-briefs, debriefs, speakers, content, and staffing.
Work with the candidate engagement team and marketing to manage all employment branding workstreams.
Partner with colleague networks to conduct regular military referral campaigns.
Create program goals, measure progress and report results to stakeholders and executive sponsors.
Apply leadership skills to all programmatic work and communications with others to create a program experience that business leaders want to be a part of.
Collaborate with existing talent channel and hiring program leaders to increase military representation across HCA Healthcare.
Develop high-touch onboarding and mentoring experiences for incoming military affiliated new hires.
Provide coaching and mentoring to military-affiliated talent.
Design and build the military workforce development strategy
Represent the company externally and oversee all military-connected external partnerships and sponsorships to include, engagement with government organizations, non-profits, and military-connected focused forums and coalitions.
Use influence to support the increase military-connected owned business participation in company’s supplier diversity program.
Establish and engage in outreach efforts with national and local veteran service organizations.
Support the continued development and enhanced engagement with military-affiliated colleagues in the HCA Healthcare colleague networks.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree required or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Technical training
- PMP preferred
- SHRM preferred
- 4+ years of Military knowledge/experience required
- 3+ years of Heathcare preferred
- 3+ years of HR/ Talent Management Strategy preferred
- 5+years Leading large scale projects
- 5+ years Program development
- 5+years Project Management preferred
