POSITION SUMMARY
Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a Program Security Representative to play a critical role in protecting our nation's most sensitive programs. In this impactful position, you'll provide comprehensive security support for high-priority Special Access Programs (SAPs), ensuring the protection of Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities. RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Ensure adherence to NISPOM, its Supplement, DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policies; develop and execute policies and procedures for safeguarding SAP, SCI, and collateral data.
- Provide daily security support, continuously assess and improve security policies, procedures, and systems; identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to operational activities.
- Assist in developing and training the Operations Security program; provide oversight and assistance to contractors and subordinate facilities.
- Conduct and document SAP facility compliance reviews, follow-ups, and close-outs; monitor and track corrective actions, and ensure timely notification of security matters to program staff.
- Brief personnel on security-related topics at all levels, including government and senior civilian services; coordinate SAP security education program improvements.
- Investigate any loss or compromise of classified information, conducting preliminary inquiries and damage assessments.
- Occasionally traverse between buildings; perform sedentary work at least 50% of the time.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI security clearance.
- Must possess eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
- Must possess some Special Access Program (SAP) experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Or an additional 4 years of relevant experience*.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 8-10 years related experience in program security, or other relevant field.
- *Relevant Equivalent Experience:
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.
- Ability to manage stress with professionalism, demonstrate leadership and critical thinking, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
