Duties- You will research and recommend solutions to complex issues and topics where local factors contradict established policy or procedures.
- You will assist in the development of initiatives to improve management processes and systems using the most efficient utilization of human resources.
- You will provide advice and assistance in the areas of discipline, adverse actions, grievances, performance management and recognition, employee counseling, and related functions.
- You will keep employees informed regarding policies and latest regulations on health and life insurance benefits, retirement, and other benefits, training, leave, employment opportunities, and other personnel actions.
- You will provide technical advice and assistance and disseminates human resource information to organization.
- You will review classification standards, guides, to assist and coordinate classification assignments.
- You will provide advice and assistance on grievance procedures and options for resolution of conflicts or problems.

QualificationsTo qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 11/08/2024. Specialized experience is work experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:- Experience providing advice and guidance in the areas of classification, staffing and recruitment;
- Experience drafting and approving standard operating procedures and/or other forms of regulatory guidance covering multiple fields of Human Resources rules, regulations, and procedures including Personnel Management, Recruitment and Staffing, Classification, Employee Benefits (Workers compensation, retirements, and insurance programs), and/or Employee and Labor Relations; and
- Experience as the chief negotiator in labor negotiations.

Work Schedule: Regular office hours, Monday -Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Alternate work schedules may be available.
