Purpose:The Program Supervisor- Mental Health Services will oversee the provision of mental health department services including health education classes, psychosocial support groups, cultural orientation sessions, and case management services. This position will ensure that programmatic and trackable data is accurate, and services are provided to the highest possible standard. The qualified candidate will conduct targeted outreach and develop partnerships with new arrival communities and local agencies.
Responsibilities:- Report program outcomes, outputs, and ongoing programmatic needs to Associate Director.
- Have thorough knowledge of program requirements to ensure compliance with funders.
- Manage and supervise program staff.
- Ensure program staff participate in all relevant training opportunities.
- Oversee the selection, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
- Provide technical oversight and support for establishment and maintenance of routine monitoring systems, presentation of findings, and building related staff competencies.
- Ensure database systems are current and accurate.
- Ensure all personal identifiable information is held to the highest confidentiality standard.
- Ensure efficient systems in place for program staff to collect and compile relevant and concise information for routine project reports and occasional special reports as required.
- Support local finance staff with data quality and reporting when requested.
- Prepare program staff for monitoring visits and annual reports.
- Attend coordination meetings with other resettlement sites implementing similar programming.
- Conduct targeted outreach to recruit clients.
- Develop partnerships with new arrival communities, local healthcare providers, local mental health providers, school districts, and other community services.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, humanities, or social sciences, or foreign equivalent required.
Experience:
- 5 years professional work experience preferably with previous experience with refugees or immigrant communities.
- 2 years previous supervisory experience
- Previous experience working with vulnerable populations in health-related fields
- A demonstrated knowledge of grant reporting and data collection
- Ability to work independently with a high level of comfort and skill interacting with partner organizations and coordinating people and resources.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment required.
Skills:
- English skills, both written and verbal are required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Superior public speaking skills and strength in written communication.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and internet applications, particularly social media platforms.
- Strong communication skills to successfully represent CWS and interact with various audiences and levels of partners, i.e., community partners, local government representatives, faith-based leaders and representatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to relate to various audiences and personalities.
- Time management, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- The successful candidate must have a car, a valid driver’s license, and an insurable driving record
- This is a hybrid position, involving in-person and remote work
- Works varied hours, including possible night and weekend work
