**Only qualified Programmer-Project Lead candidates located near the Blythewood, SC area due to the position requiring an onsite presence- must be available to work directly for Rose International on a W2 basis. Not a corp-to-corp opportunity**
This Programmer-Project Lead will work closely and will be involved with both the UI tiers which are MS .NET applications (VB.NET, C#.NET) and the oracle database tier. Candidate will also be involved with financial processing functions and with some aspects of vehicle registration and titling. Production trouble shooting support will be expected so production support experience is required. This Programmer-Project Lead will be expected to work with minimal supervision, will be in direct contact with business area specialists, develop technical approaches and designs, code, test, and support these functions. Oral and written communications skills must be excellent.
Required Experience:
• Database Platforms enterprise class multi-tier web-based application development projects 6 + Years
• Database Platforms Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2013 4 - 6 Years
• ERP Oracle SQL 6 + Years
• Programming Languages Micro Focus Cobol 6 + Years
• Programming Languages Visual Studio 2 - 4 Years
Required Education:
• Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in information technology related discipline with 12 years of experience OR Minimum 14 Years Related Experience
Required skills (rank in order of importance):
• Working knowledge of South Carolina driver laws, rules, and regulations as presented in code of laws part 56 including:
• Credentials, suspensions, violations, financial responsibility, parole, probation, and pardons (PPP) driver support
• Direct knowledge of American association of motor vehicles administrators (AAMVA) commercial and non-commercial driver processing including:
• Federal motor carrier safety act (FMCSA) mandates
• Commercial driver license information system (CDLIS) interface processing
• Personal driver pointer system (PDPS) interface processing
• Current and relevant COBOL development with MICROFOCUS visual COBOL using visual studio 2019 in windows server 2019 under IIS
• Application programming against RDBMS (Oracle, SQL)
• SQL for oracle db
• Calling COBOL via Microsoft windows web services.
• Microsoft windows web service design and implementation
• Enterprise multi-tier system design and architecture
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
• Analyze the web service, and batch business applications
• Take the lead in
• Analyzing and trouble-shooting assigned system problems
• Analyzing new requirements and regulations
• Propose solutions and develop technical specifications in response to business requirements
• Code, test, promote, and interact with impacted users ensuring that solution meets requirements
• Provide daily and weekly status to the development manager
Additional Details:
The role must be onsite for the first two months (can be longer or shorter depending on learning aptitude). There is no guarantee, but there is the potential to be remote afterwards- that is at the discretion of the manager/team.
