About the Job
- Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
- Maintain records and files of work and revisions
- Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication
- Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to write technical guides based on existing work; Domain Subject Matter Experts (SME) draft the information, and this role will be responsible for creating useable guides from the information
- Key projects: This role will contribute to technical instructional guide writing. They will work on current and backlogged guides
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 10% collaboration and 10% preparation/review with 80% technical writing
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required to be eligible for this role
- 8 overall years of experience in the field
- Minimum 8 years of experience with cloud or other tech
- Minimum 8 years of experience with technical writing/communications
- Minimum 8 years of experience with manual/instructional writing
- Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines, and adhering to timelines, as well as quality of outcome - can we give the completed work a developer with 3-5 years of experience and they would be able to autonomously execute the steps successfully
- The ideal resume would contain cloud services experience, strong technical communication experience, and instruction manual drafting experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
