Position Description: Committee of 100 is seeking a part-time intern over the fall semester, to support the Programs and Key Initiatives department. The role can be performed remotely and will be supervised by Committee of 100’s Director of Development and Key Initiatives.
What you will do:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting the Director of Development & Key Initiatives, as well as the Senior Program Associate with:
Researching prospective candidates for Committee of 100’s Next Generation Leaders (NGL) program. This will include gathering contact information and conducting initial outreach to prospective candidates.
Internal review of prospective NGL candidates.
Scheduling interviews with prospective NGL candidates and Committee of 100 staff and Members.
Coordinating NGL events and programming, including virtual and in-person activities.
Updating the NGL alumni database for uploading into the organization’s Customer Relational Management (CRM) tool.
Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as necessary.
Key Qualifications:
Currently attending an institution of learning with courses leading to a degree, certificate or diploma.
Strong interest in working in a non-profit organization and supporting Committee of 100's dual mission.
Strong research abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excels in a collaborative environment while able to work autonomously.
Ability to think and work independently within a professional setting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Working knowledge of MS office.
Additional Information:
Candidates should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (specific hours will be agreed with the direct supervisor and based on the student’s schedule).
Interns will receive a stipend of $2700 for the 12-week internship program. Course credit is also available, if applicable.
The anticipated start date for this position is August 26, 2024. However, this is negotiable based on the student’s schedule.
