Maximus is seeking a Project Manager to join our team. This is a remote position and will support all Department of Education projects. You will manage the processes, documentation, equipment, scheduling, tools, resources (RA's) to ensure that all new hires within the Department of Education programs that require a piv-i card, are able to receive their card in a timely manner, meeting contractual requirements. You will be responsible for working across the portfolio programs to coordinate piv-i card needs for for all newly hired staff for each program, resolve competing demands, and meet program deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and determine resource requirements.
- Oversee all facets of project operations.
- Deploy resources to address all operational needs.
- Make informed decisions and ensure adherence to budgets.
- Communicate updates and project status effectively and efficiently.
- Recommend innovative methodologies, techniques, and criteria for projects.
- Ensure adherence and compliance to internal and external quality standards.
- The Project Manager will be responsible for the entire PIV-I card issuance process for new hires within the Department of Education portfolio.
- This position is intended to manage the process, documentation, equipment, scheduling, tools, resources (RA's) to ensure that all new hires within the Dept of Ed programs requiring a piv-i card, are able to receive their card in a timely, replicable fashion, thereby ensuring that contractual requirements are met. This role will be responsible for working across the portfolio programs to coordinate Piv-i card needs for all newly hired staff for each program, resolve competing resource and time demands, meeting all program deadlines.
- Travel may be required based on business needs.
- Additional Requirements as per contract/client:
Must reside in the U.S.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loans.
Employment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable clearance. Final suitability determination is the sole discretion of the Department of Education.
Obtaining and Maintaining a PIV-I card is a requirement of this position. PIV-I cards must be picked up in person. New and existing employees may need to travel via car, train, or plane to a designated location to pick up their new or replacement PIV-I card. Any travel expenses will be paid for by Maximus.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5-7 years of project management experience required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.
