Project Accountant

Our client is a well established company that specializes in commercial construction projects
They are looking for a detail oriented Project Accountant to join their team! The Project Accountant will be responsible for maintaining complex and accurate project financial records and ensuring proper internal and external reporting of financial transactions
This is a full-time on-site position with an annual salary range starting at $70,000

Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including owner and subcontractor pay applications
- Coordinate with operations teams and estimating department to establish project budgets and maintain contract compliance
- Manage accounts receivable process and resolve payment issues
- Maintain data accuracy between Procore and Viewpoint Vista systems
- Ensure GAAP compliance and support financial audits
- Process project invoices and resolve payment queries with AP team
- Complete special projects and maintain current industry knowledge
Qualifications:
- 2+ years general construction accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field a big plus
- Experience with AIA billing
- Experience with prevailing wages is a nice plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
