Project Accountant
A reputable construction company in the Boston area is looking for a Project Accountant to join its dynamic team. This role requires a self-starter, with solid problem-solving skills, to record complex billing transactions. This role will involve significant interaction with external as well as internal partners. The project accountant will report to the accounting manager and is responsible for the monthly billing operations. This is an opportunity to be part of an all-star team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process customer billings using various CRM systems
• Responsible for collections of past due A/R
• Process vendor invoices
• Review job costs reports to ensure billings are current
• Communicate effectively with project managers and external partners
• Make month-end project adjustments based on cost-to-complete estimates
• Review project labor and expense charges with project manager for accuracy and appropriateness
• Analyze projects; generate job costing reports to provide meaningful input to project team
• Monitor and support monthly requirements including month-end close
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3+ years' experience in an A/P, A/R, or billing role
• Possess high-standards across the board- from your own contributions to the people you work with to the projects you work on
• Goal-oriented self-starter with strong time management, multi-tasking
• Work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
• Fantastic organizational skills and great follow through on task
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
• BONUS SKILLS: Experience working in Timberline, Timberscan, Textura, or other similar SaaS based Construction Payment Management systems
