Project Accountant - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Our client in Mobile, AL is seeking a Project Accountant for a Full-Time Direct-Hire role.

Responsibilities:

• Support project management with internal/external communications, dispute resolution, financial reporting, and vendor management.
• Oversee client invoicing, billing schedules, cost tracking, variance reporting, WIP management, and payables/timesheet processing.
• Manage A/R and collections by maintaining client relationships, generating past due notices, and monitoring delinquent accounts.
• Handle contract administration, including project setup and closeout in line with billing requirements.
• Support AP by routing sub-consultant invoices for approval and auditing in-house billing entries.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in project accounting, in engineering, construction, or professional services.
• Utilize project management software (strongly preferred), along with MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
