Vaco is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Accountant to join our clients team in the construction industry
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing the financial aspects of their projects, ensuring that all accounting practices align with industry regulations and standards
As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining project budgets, tracking costs, and providing critical financial analysis to project managers and stakeholders

ResponsibilitiesManage project budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company financial goals.
Monitor project expenditures and compare them against budgets, providing timely updates.
Prepare and analyze financial reports for projects, highlighting variances and trends.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial compliance and address any discrepancies.
Process invoices, payments, and ensure timely billing of clients and subcontractors.
Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial audits for projects.
Develop best practices for construction accounting and provide training to project teams.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction financial management principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
