About the Job
L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Project Administrator.
- Review, comment and draft responses to Request For Information.
- Review and track shop drawings, submittals.
- Schedule and coordinate field visits and inspections.
- Coordinate project activities between different divisions/department users.
- Contractor payment processing.
- Review and update monthly project status reports and information in project management software.
- Coordinate and schedule pre-final/final inspections.
- Act as liaison between Managers, Project Chief Executive Officers and Contract Managers offices to request operating, maintenance and departmental support services.
- Perform data review, analysis, and estimates.
- Attend meetings as required and perform various document control activities including logs, reports, and other similarly related activities.
- Prepare reports, presentations file contract documents; and schedule meetings.
- Develop work plans, lookahead tools, manage force accounts and resources.
- Lead and perform inspections to ensure contract requirements are met.
- Lead job progress meetings or other meetings as assigned.
- Verify quality of workmanship and materials via site visits/inspections.
- Verify compliance with plans, specifications, estimates, applicable codes, and regulations with emphasis on quality and safety.
- Coordinate and document work progress, deficiencies, and deviations from contract.
- Prepare detailed inspector's daily reports with Safety Check List.
- Ensure and enforce adherence of the Contractor to the quality assurance safety protocols.
- Assist PCEO/Construction Manager in evaluating change order proposals, reviewing contractor submittals, and preparing mandatory daily reports.
- Maintaining records and documentation as required by client or other mandated procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or Architecture.
- At least 10 years of experience in at least one of the following areas: project management, contractual or engineering support work, construction administration, or construction field supervision.
- OSHA-30 Certification must be obtained prior to starting the position.
- Experience in comprehending, reviewing and interpreting Contract drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with construction management procedures and knowledge of mass transit facilities.
- Strong business administration skills (i.e., report and letter writing, time management).
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving decision-making skills.
- Ability to identify issues and take initiative to effectively resolve them.
- Have superior written, verbal, presentation, human relations, interpersonal, communication and judgement skills.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point.
