Dewberry’s Architecture Team is seeking a dynamic Project Architect with well-rounded experience to join our Fairfax, VA office. Experience in Federal and Local Governments, Civic and Justice building types is desirable.

Responsibilities:How will you do this?
- Lead and develop detailed design documents from conceptual design phase through construction administration.
- Perform code analysis.
- Assist designers and project managers in conceptual input on assigned projects.
- Assist with specifications development by performing material, product selection and research.
- Monitor scope, schedule, and budget on architectural aspects of projects.
- Develop architectural work plans and tasking,
- Supervise and mentor assigned project personnel.
- Coordinating with internal and external engineers
- Attend client and stakeholder meetings.
Required Skills & Required Experience: |
- Professional Architecture degree from an accredited University is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required.
- Licensed Architect or in process with ability to obtain licensure within 1-year.
- Competent in Revit (BIM), SketchUp and other software modeling programs.
- Skilled in Creative Adobe Suite applications Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Skilled knowledge of local code requirements and ability to efficiently interface with agencies having jurisdiction, including Fire Marshall, and other code reviewers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead internal project teams including consultants.
- Will be responsible for projects compliance with Dewberry QMS processes; evaluates and assures review recommendations are implemented; pledges that “lessons learned” are communicated to all staff.
- A design portfolio demonstrating experience will be required.
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
