Responsibilities of the position:
- Deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure in a wide range of contexts from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes in highly urban settings to signature trail projects in suburban and rural areas that highlight and enhance the natural environment.
- You will use programs such as AutoCAD or MicroStation to fulfill production work on your projects.
- You will share your knowledge with staff and clients, to develop feasibility studies, concept plans, and construction documents, as well mentor your colleagues to ensure that our projects are consistently of the highest quality.
- A bachelor’s or master’s Degree in civil engineering
- A Professional Engineering license in the United States is required
- 5+ years of experience developing construction documents
- A broad knowledge base in civil engineering with a transportation focus and specific knowledge of horizontal and vertical roadway geometric design (MUTCD and AASHTO)
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: MicroStation InRoads, MicroStation OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience developing construction documents, cost estimates and specification
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft office applications
- Keen interest in multimodal and active transportation design preferred
- Interest in mentoring colleagues
- Ability to deliver high-quality work, on time and within budget
- Ability to build strong relationships across disciplines and between departments
- Motivation to tackle new challenges and develop creative solutions
