Culmen International is seeking Project Controllers for a future Health and Human Services opportunity.
The Project Controller is a key member of the project team and works directly with the project manager to help define the project's goals and objectives; create and maintain a project's budget and schedule, analyze progress reported against the work schedules; and recommend actions to improve progress.
What You’ll Do in Your New Role:
- Review project budget and deadlines with project manager while identifying possible problems that may occur in the future.
- Assess material, labor, and equipment required and analyze different quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide regular updates on the status of projects to key stakeholders, including executives and project team members.
- Select, train, and oversee all project team members.
- Coordinate payments to vendors and subcontractors.
- Monitor project to ensure it meets budget guidelines.
- Generate accounting reports at the end of the project.
- Communicate with suppliers or other vendors to ensure that they are meeting their contractual obligations.
- Oversee auditing of project financials when necessary.
- Develop risk mitigations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all materials are available when needed for projects.
- Monitor contract compliance and communicate with contractors regarding changes that need to be made to comply with contractual obligations.
- Work independently, react to change productively, and handle other essential tasks as assigned while exercising a high level of confidentiality.
- 5-10 years' experience with working on project controls for a large program
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field.
- Proven work experience in Project Control or related field.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to successfully clear a background check.
- Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
- Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
- Fluent in Spanish
