Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to join our team Los Angeles, California. In this role you will lead efforts for external and internal program controls as you ensure scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk objectives for projects are responsibly achieved.
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Managing the Project Controls Team.
- Coordinating with the Change Management Board with respect to change management decisions and escalations.
- Leading monthly Project Progress Reviews and reports against the required metrics with the Program Director.
- Issuing monthly program progress reports and updating PMIS progress and performance dashboards.
- Coordinating with the Program Director to effectively support the delivery of the overall Program.
- Managing stakeholder relationships both internal and external to the program and working collaboratively with the stakeholder relations team.
- Managing other consultants in accordance with their contractual obligations to successfully deliver scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk requirements.
- Managing the interface with the PMO Services and Technical Shared Services teams to ensure the appropriate resourcing, coordination, and integration.
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the career development of staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience with project controls or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
Preferred Requirements:
- 15 years of professional experience including 5 years in a Project Controls leadership role.
- Able to demonstrate significant expertise in Project Controls and applicable technical areas to deliver complex programs.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-discipline team members and assessing the competency requirements of the team.
- Strong technical capability in program controls and knowledge of all project phases, including design, planning, construction, preferably for large program/projects.
- Demonstrable experience in managing stakeholder relationships and providing strategic level reporting to enable effective decision making.
- Familiarity of working in collaborative project environments
- Proficient stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meeting / workshops with stakeholders.
