Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is looking for a Project Controls Specialist with project management and job cost experience to join our team. This position is full time in our Pittsburgh, PA (Moon Township) office. After CEC orientation, we offer a flexible work schedule. As a Project Controls Specialist, you will work directly with a team of Project Managers and Project Accountants to facilitate programmatic client invoice processing and analysis, sub-consultant invoicing, review and coordinate subconsultant agreements for compliance with CEC’s requirements, and assist Project Managers with proposals, additional services requests, and other miscellaneous tasks.
Responsibilities will include:
- Compliance with client proposals and contracts including project set-up, rate verification, related data entry, invoice review and submittal, and project close-out procedures;
- Maintaining regular communication with Project Managers, Project Accountants, Principals, and Vice Presidents that are involved with clients, in order to meet all budget, job cost, and invoicing needs;
- Reporting and participation in monthly project review meetings with Principals and Project Managers including review of accounts receivable, work in progress, and project budgets;
- Monthly financial project reviews to analyze billing rates, expense markup and write-offs for proper revenue recognition, and profitability; and
- Provide assistance as requested for proposal and pricing submittals. Coordinate sub-consultant agreements, invoicing, and tracking.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting;
- 2-5 years of professional experience (engineering and consulting industry experience a plus);
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook along with aptitude for learning internal systems and accounting system;
- Project management certification a plus;
- Experience with Deltek Vision is a plus;
- Ability to communicate professionally (oral and written);
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality;
- Ability to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines; and
- Attention to detail, organized, and a team player.
