Project Coordinator
Plymouth, MN | Direct-hire | $60,000-$80,000 | 100% On-Site
Konik is partnering with an up-and-coming engineering company in the Twin Cities. Our client is looking to add a Project Coordinator to its fast-growing team. The Project Coordinator will focus on project oversight, procurement, supply chain, installation, and more.
Project Coordinator Responsibilities
- Strategic Project Oversight: Take a lead role in overseeing the lifecycle of assigned projects, from initial planning through execution. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure alignment with customer expectations and organizational goals.
- Risk and Resource Management: Identify potential risks and resource constraints early in the project lifecycle. Implement risk mitigation strategies and optimize resource deployment to keep projects on track and within scope.
- Procurement Leadership: Lead the procurement process, from drafting RFQs/RFPs to negotiating terms and finalizing purchase orders. Ensure that all procurement activities are conducted within budget and align with the project's strategic objectives.
- External Partnership Coordination: Maintain strong, proactive relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, architects, and site managers. Ensure that all parties are aligned on project goals, timelines, and site readiness to guarantee smooth project execution.
- Cross-Departmental Synergy: Facilitate collaboration across various departments—such as design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation—to ensure seamless project execution. Act as a bridge between these teams to harmonize efforts and optimize project outcomes.
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including scheduling, shipping, and delivery. Ensure that all components and equipment arrive on-site punctually to support timely project completion.
- Field Service Coordination: Work with the service team to manage warranty claims and service requests. Ensure that technical issues are resolved swiftly and that customer satisfaction remains high.
- Engineering and Installation Alignment: Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure that installation processes align with design specifications. Track progress and provide updates to ensure all installations meet the required standards.
Project Coordinator Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on project management and operational efficiency.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and project tracking. Familiarity with project management software is an advantage.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Experience in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.

- Flexibility and Travel: Willingness to travel as necessary to support project needs, including on-site visits and hands-on project management.
